If you are interested in knowing more about Freemasonry and/or inquiring about how to join a Masonic Lodge the following may be useful.
Freemasonry is the one of the world’s oldest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.
We always welcome new members who live, work or study in the Counties of Londonderry & Donegal and also those in neighbouring counties close to the borders of Londonderry and Donegal i.e. Tyrone and Antrim.
We have Lodges that meet in many of the towns and villages within our Province.
Why become a Freemason?
Freemasonry is NOT a secret society as our Laws and Constitution are available for anyone to purchase and read but we are a society with secrets.
If anyone is considering joining in the hope of attaining some powerful or mystical information he will be disappointed. We simply are a group of men that believe in making a difference in the world through strong moral character and a charitable heart.
It is said that Freemasonry will not make bad men good but it will make good men better.
Therefore if anyone wishes to join they should be male, normally 21 or over, of any religion and have a belief in God, be of good character and good standing in their local community.
